We are pleased to invite you to an evening discussing mobile application development with Jodie O’Rourke. His recent publication “Flash Mobile Application Development For Dummies” covers topics such as; mobile development life-cycle, creating content for your app, installing and test your app on your own device, and submitting it to the App Store and the Android market.

On his website Jodie O’Rourke describes himself as an Interactive Developer, a mix of software engineer and interactive designer. Those who heard him talk last time he came to Oxford know of his influential contribution to the Open Source Media Framework. Wednesday 23rd November - meeting

Meeting again at Headington Hill Hall we once again have so much to talk about I’m not sure where to start. There will surely be a lot of chat about AIR and Flash for mobile. We’ve also got our hands on an Arduino board and DMX kit that we will start to have a play with. And that’s not to mention chat about the “Back from Max” event and everything we never got round to chatting about last month.

If that doesn’t get you putting 23rd November in your diary then maybe a chance to win $2100 worth of free Adobe software will. Just to make that really clear, we will be giving away one copy of a CS5.5 Creative Suite next Wednesday.

We’ll be there from 7.30 for an 8pm start and look forward to seeing you.

All the best
Tim & John

Check out the “Back from Max” event at the Barbican Centre Nov 2nd?

It has a choice of 2 sessions all afternoon on either gaming or enterprise. Best of all it’s for free!

New venue for meetings

We have just booked a great venue for meetings. Headington Hill Hall, on (as you might guess) Headington Hill. It has free parking in the evenings and has views over the dreaming spires. I think it should also give us a chance to open the group up to create a good mix of people from industry, the community and academia.
