This month, the Adobe User Groups have Stephen Newberry, Technical
Resources Manager at Adobe HQ (UK), coming to talk to us about all
things Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign.

There will be time for questions after his presentation, and the
usual chat with likeminded creatives from the Oxford area.

Flash Oxford this month welcomes Charles Freeman. His work with rabbit.com has undeniably pushed the boundaries of the definition of multi-media. Have you ever imagined making phone calls from your web browser, possibly not, but he has. Join us to hear about how this concept went from idea to reality and how easily you can implement this technology for you own projects.
Charles Freeman’s work is rated as ”some of the most highly visible dynamic Flash content in recent years.” He is in the UK to speak at the Flash on the Beach conference, and has agreed to visit Oxford to talk about his role in developing Ribbit - a Flash telephony platform.

For June we are planning an informal social meetup and are trying to arrange pizza and drinks. So do come along and meet other Flash & Flex animators, designers and developers. So if you are an internet professional or are just interested in the Flash platform this is the place for you.
We will have a copy of Flash Catalyst and there will be a chance to get hands on and see if it really is as easy as Andrew Shorten made it look last month. Being part of the Flash Catalyst User Group Tour there should be lots of Catalyst and Flex related freebies as well as the most popular $2100 free software bundle.
